One of the great advantages of living in Greenville, South Carolina is that people look at each other, smile and speak! This makes it easy to see the beauty in people and to make that connection we so often miss in our head down, eyes on phones posture. These are 4 of the beautiful people I got to meet in the last year. And, great reasons to carry a camera!

A great cure for feeling alone, or bored, or isolated is to just go out and see what’s going on around you. It’s almost always pretty interesting….and often curious.
You just never know what is going on right around the corner, which is why it’s good to have a camera at the ready. This was just such a happy occasion and a great find.
An advantage of living in Greenville, SC is that since a river runs through it, we have a lot of bridges from which to observe the passing scene. This was shot just yesterday
It doesn’t seem like a place to catch much fish, but it makes for a good photo op.
This gentleman was playing outside our local moonshine shop and I asked if I could take his picture. He stopped playing then stood up to pose. I asked him to continue playing but he insisted I tell him what I wanted him to play. It seemed to be a struggle to just relax and let me shoot. He was so humble and shy yet out there doing his job.
